The LONG BEARD BROTHERS are dedicated to the sound of days long gone, not only through their „old-style“ look, but also through their unusual lineup of banjo/mandolin, guitar, double bass, drums/percussion and four-part vocals. From Irish folk songs, country and bluegrass classics to acoustic rock, rockabilly and good old rock ́n ́roll, they present a unique mix of 5 decades.
Vier ihrer Herzenskünstler*innen wagten im Juli 2021 den Sprung ins Ungewisse. Linda Rum, Katharina Milchrahm (NAPAEA), John Allen und Jens Haraldson kamen zusammen und irgendwie, obwohl so unterschiedlich, waren ihre Lieder füreinander geschaffen. Es konnte nicht das letzte Mal gewesen sein, das war allen klar, die diesen Abend miterlebt hatten.
Mit dem aktuellen Programm hüllt Georg Neureiter sein Publikum in wohligen Folk-Sound. Die Gitarre in alternativen Stimmungen dient als bunt grundierter Malgrund für fließende, treibende Klangflächen. Neureiters Wortwitz beschert auch dem traurigsten Heartbreak-Song ein gewisses Maß an Tragikomik.
